Morse Code Translator respects the copyright of others and expects the same from anyone who uses this site. This page explains how we handle copyright complaints under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

The charts, guides, tool design, and written explanations on this site are original work. If you believe something here copies your copyrighted material without permission, we want to know so we can look into it and fix it if needed.

Filing a takedown notice

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on this site in a way that infringes your rights, send us a notice that includes the following:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed
  • The exact URL or location on our site where the material appears
  • Your name, address, phone number, and email address
  • A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  • Your physical or electronic signature

Send this to our designated contact through the Contact page. Notices missing any of the above may take longer to process.

Counter notice

If content you posted or that you believe is used fairly was removed because of a takedown request, you can send a counter notice. It should include:

  • Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address, and phone number
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district and that you’ll accept service of process from the person who filed the original complaint
  • Your physical or electronic signature

What happens next

Once we receive a valid notice, we’ll review it and remove or disable access to the material if it appears to be a genuine infringement. If a valid counter notice is filed, we may restore the material after the timeframe required by law, unless the original complainant informs us they’ve filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

We don’t tolerate repeated copyright violations. Accounts or sources tied to repeated valid infringement claims may be blocked from contributing to or interacting with this site.
